Light Comes Through

In 2012 I was one of three artists, along with writer Eugene O’Brien and musician Wayne Brennan, on board the historic 68M boat making our way along the Grand Canal from Shannon Harbour to Edenderry, creating an artistic response along the way.

“Sure that’s a Grand Canal!”

Animation of 1500 still photographs I took from the bow of the 68M heritage boat on the journey down the Grand Canal from Shannon Harbour to Edenderry in Co Offaly with recordings of local people and wildlife along the way.

A documentary feature of the journey was made by Garret Daly and Martina McGlynn of Mixed Bag Media and broadcast on RTE. A snip from the documentary ‘A Grand Experience’ shows the making of  ‘Light Comes Through’
